Singly

There comes a time in every relationship when you have to break the vicious cycle and spend a weekend without your significant other.

The time has come.

This weekend I will be out and about without a hand to hold, and I can't really remember what I did on the weekends when I was single.

I can feel my mother cringing as she reads this.

But it's true. I know I'm supposed to be this independent chick that doesn't need a man to keep her weekends engaging, but I'm not really apologetic for being something other than that.

Spending time with my boyfriend does make me contented. He's one of my best friends. Why wouldn't you want to spend as much time as possible with one of your best friends?

So, I'm compiling a list of endless possibilities to make my solo weekend a hit. I would tell you what's on the list, but then you would probably laugh and think I am the dorkiest person ever.

We'll see.
