Everything but the Pesto Chili

Rounding out a wonderful weekend, we made a delicious pot of chili from scratch. From scratch! And even though we threw everything in the pot we could find, except for that slimy old lettuce and the jar of sun-dried tomato pesto, it was delicious.
Here's the recipe:
1 lb. ground turkey breast

1 large can of diced tomatoes

1 cup sliced mushrooms
1 can chopped green chiles
1 can of kidney beans
1 chopped yellow onion
1 chopped green bell pepper
Kernels from 2 ears of corn
Dash of ground cumin, black pepper, red pepper flakes, chili powder, garlic powder and cinnamon
2 tbs. olive oil
Brown ground turkey. Sautee onion, bell pepper, mushrooms and corn in olive oil. Combine veggies and turkey in a pot. Add beans, tomatoes, chiles and spices and bring to a boil. Turn down heat and put lid on pot. Simmer for 30 minutes and enjoy.
So yeah, I was going to be really productive and work on a yearbook story tonight, but I opted for this instead.
Now I've got an itch to bake a cake. I'll do anything to avoid actual work.
