I am the baby of the family

We agreed to dogsit two chihuahuas for some friends, and I found out today that they will not be welcome on the family vacation. Even if it is just for two days. Even if they are smaller than a volleyball. Even if they have crates to sleep in. The little kid in me wants to stomp my foot and say, “Fine! I don’t want to go on a stupid vacation anyway!”

But I’m an adult and can’t say things like that anymore.

So, I’m irritated about the whole thing and trying hard not to be. Then I got an e-mail from my step-mom reminding everyone to bring a white T-shirt and jeans. This is the first time I’ve heard anything about a white T-shirt and jeans, which isn’t suprising because no one in my family tells me anything. And now I’m even more irritated. I have a feeling the clothing requirement has something to do with us all posing for a group photo, and that just makes me want to vomit.

I know I’m being extremely childish.

Group photos=so fun. Not really. But you better smile like they are! We did that at Christmas a couple of years ago, so it was all red and green attire required. Yak.

Crap. I first read your title, “I ate the baby of the family”.

You should tell your family you think it’d be better if you all dressed like Yaks. Yaks are fun and they maintain strong family ties.

Anyway, just put the punters in the fridge, they should keep ’til you get back. :o)

I understand how you feel about your family and the wardrobe requirement. At least you got invited. My step mom would have planned it and everything and sent me the picture. When I saw her the next time, she would have leaned over and said she was so sorry she forgot to tell me. And bro and sister wouldn’t have told me anything either, but no one tells me anything!!!
