100 Things…

I really do love lists. I’ve got a list of things to do today sitting next to me right now. On the fridge, there’s a list of things I’d like to do before leaving Austin. Here are the next 25 things for the life list, in no particular order:

26. Be a better teacher.

27. Practice yoga/meditation regularly.

28. Snorkel in a tropical place.

29. Let my guard down more often.

30. Habitually look up words I don’t know.

31. Learn to dance.

32. Be better about taking photographs on trips.

33. Take a trip with just my brother and sister.

34. Backpacking in Spain.

35. Turn a boring piece of furniture into something interesting.

36. Own a piano and learn to play again.

37. Start a business with best friends.

38. Have everyone I love living nearby.

39. Be debt free.

40. Hold the headstand pose in yoga.

41. Collect orchids.

42. Make a really good gumbo.

43. Cross country road trip with friends.

44. Write for a living.

45. Send thank you notes to teachers who inspired me.

46. Have regular dinners with family.

47. Have a bonfire on the beach.

48. Have a wall of photographs taken by Dave.

49. Throw a surprise party for someone.

50. Spend a month in another country.

No kidding. I’d love to pay myself $130 every month instead of the student loan guys.

Yeah, Starbucks is appealing it though. The ruling goes with California law, but I feel bad for the shift supervisors who’ll no longer get tips. They work harder than us baristas for just a little more money. We all need raises.
